Bhutanese Lamas Ven. Lopon Gem Dorji and Sangay Dorji begin work on a Sand Mandala of Medicine Buddha at the Unitarian Universalist Church in Greeley Feb. 8, 2007.


The lamas continue work on the mandala as visitors watch.

Completion of the Medicine Buddha ceremony at the UUC before dispersion of the sand in the Poudre River Sunday afternoon.
Four lamas from Bhutan, including the Regent to H.H. the 67th Je Khenpo Ngyzer Trulku Rinpoche presented Tibetan Buddhist teachings of the Drukpa Kagyu lineage in Greeley and Kersey from Thursday through Sunday (Feb. 8-11). This included the construction of a Medicine Buddha sand mandala, Medicine Buddha empowerment and oral transmission, Mahamudra and Meditation instruction, a cultural show of sacred music and lama dance, and a childrenŐs program.
